Another great adventure

I have never been disappointed by one of Mr. Houston's books. Each is a joy and difficult to put down. I just adore Fred and all the characters.

Great book and series.

I have read each book in the books to die for series. I have enjoyed seeing how the friendship Jake and Bonnie have has really grown even with their age difference. And... Fred, he is the awesome crime solving helper and the most loyal and lovable golden retriever side kick ever. This series is so entertaining because it's filled with crime solving mysteries, makes you laugh out loud, and cry all while and keeps you guessing till the end. I'm glad I found this great series and hopefully there will be more to come in the near future.

Review of Letters To Die For by Richard Houston

Jake an out of work programmer is doing some dry walling to make some money for his expenses. He finds some letters supposedly written many years before behind an antique armoire that turns out to possibly change the rightful owner of the old house. He tells his neighbor and she wants to get to the bottom of the story. Itâs hard to tell whoâs doing what as the plot thickens and people donât seem to be who they are. Just as they think they know whatâs going on one suspect is killed making them look at another player in this maze. The story keeps you wondering if youâre ever going to get to the bottom of it. The end will surprise you.

This is Houston at his best.

Jake Martin, his faithful friend Fred and senior citizen neighbor and side-kick Bonnie will stop at nothing when Jake finds old letters in a home he is working on. Once curiosity takes hold, new questions and more characters come into play, making this a true guessing game until the very end. If you like a good mystery, love dogs and want a well written read, then you have found it here. This whole "Books to Die For" series is definitely for you. Enjoy!
