Yeah. So that's one of the things is that I've found is getting people ready for media is what attracts free publicity.

And so in a press kit, part of being ready is  having your expert power bio. Another is having a press release that's ready to go for submission. A third thing is anything that has been already written about you. Maybe you've been in the media before. Maybe you've been on TV or on the radio, whatever that might be. They love seeing where you've been before and the successes. That's something that's written about you.

The fourth thing is articles that you have written or things that you have published, things that you've gotten in the [00:04:00] media. Also, it's great to have  your company marketing materials and collateral in place. And that's a lot of people know business cards, brochures, all of those things that are, uh, essential to share who you are and what you're doing.

The fifth thing, and I actually have a sixth thing. I think I said five of the big, but there's actually a six thing. The fifth thing is what I think is great. And you don't submit this to everybody, but if you're looking to get booked for a speaking event or something like that ,is having your order form ready or at least what your offerings are. I know a lot of times people want to know that when they bring you on or  you're getting your press kit together, they don't necessarily want you to sell. They're usually telling a story, a new story, but they want to know what is it that you do? What is your business?

And the last thing is action photos. And I'd love to share a quick story about action photos. Do you mind Ken?

Ken: No, go ahead.

Shannon: Action photos are different than headshots. And I learned this the hard way. After I had the surgery, I was so excited to share with people this story. And so I [00:05:00] reached out to the media and I submitted a press release about how a paralyzed woman heals with ancient Chinese exercise. And so they said, "Hey, do you have a photo?"

And I sent them a headshot and. And I thought, what am I ugly? Like they didn't print the photo. So they printed the article and it was this really small article.  And then I realized that an action photo is when they see you in action.
