Here is our 12th movie review for Movie Reviews by Dr. B. and Mrs. B.. In this show, we take a critical look at two of Steven Spielberg's movies - "Lincoln" and "Amistad." The movie "Lincoln" was released in 2012 with Daniel Day Lewis acting as President Lincoln in which he received an Oscar for BEST ACTOR for his role. This movie also starred Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Our second movie review was "Amistad." This movie was released in 1997 starring Dimon Hounsou, Morgan Freeman, Matthew McConaughey, and Anthony Hopkins. Dimon Hounsou did an outstanding performance as Cinke (the African slave) and Anthony Hopkins as John Quincy Adams. Anthony (ex-President of the United States). Anthony Hopkins was nominated for BEST ACTOR from this movie. We gave both movies, "TWO THUMBS UP" for their excellent account of two historical events which happened in our U.S. affecting many folks particularly African Americans.
