What better way to demonstrate the power of God over the power of Satan! It was Satan who led humanity away from God in the first place. Since the Garden of Eden, the power of Satan had spread its deception in the world and was leading humanity further astray.  It was the power of Satan that was behind the pagan empires of the world and their idols.
