We are looking at the story of Jesus casting a demon out of a man. The demon had blinded this man and made him unable to speak. When Jesus cast out the evil spirit, the man’s sight and speech were restored! What a glory to God, and the common people who saw it rejoiced greatly. But not the religious leaders. They drew a line in the sand. They explicitly rejected Jesus. They said he was using the power of Satan, sorcery, to drive out demons.
