At the end of his life, Joshua has some words of wisdom for the Israelites, now that they are in the Promised Land. We see this in the last two chapters of the Book of Joshua. He tells them that while the big things are done, there is still work to do and that they need to stick to their values and objectives. The same is true for us today – we live in the "now" and the "not yet." We have been redeemed through Jesus, but we need to stand firm in the faith, and continue to take ground for the Kingdom. We need to live a promised life.
