This week Londyn and guest host / producer and engineer Mason Booker are joined by a VERY special guest, the ultra amazing Paul Levitz who definitively schools Mason on why Catwoman really is a better match for Batman than Talia Al Ghul.

Levitz has been part of DC Comics for 40+ years and has worn many hats within the publication company. From editor assistant for Batman publications during the 'Dark Detective' era in the 1970s to holding the position of President and publisher of DC Comics in the early 2000s to writing the ultimate DC Comics' history in "75 Years Of DC Comics: The Art Of Modern Mythmaking"!

Levitz is a legend within the company, working with and writing for seemingly every creative talent and DC character. If we celebrate Batman's 77 year history with every episode, Paul Levitz is the perfect guest to talk to about the ins and outs of DC Comics right here on History of the Batman with Londyn! Your Dark Knight Archivist is back from her summer hiatus with new episodes! Londyn talks with prolific writer Chuck Dixon! Dixon has contributed so much to the Batman mythos, starting with Tim Drake's solo publication "Robin" to his run on Detective Comics introducing the character Stephanie Brown! Dixon also gives amazing insight into the creation of The Man Who Broke the Bat - Bane (my favorite!!) - and the crafting of the epic saga "Batman: Knightfall". Chuck Dixon helped make the modern Batman family foundation what it is today in current comics and other visual media.

#75: The Man Who Broke The Bat: An Interview with Chuck Dixon

Your Dark Knight archivist Londyn is back with brand new shows! What better way to return than speaking with legendary Marvel and DC Comics writer Steve Englehart! Englehart during the Bronze Age of DC Comics brought the dark back in dark knight, inspiring films such as Tim Burton's Batman (1989), many episodes in 1990's "Batman: The Animated Series" and issuing in the modern Batman stories we enjoy today. Listen in as Englehart discusses his work on Marvel's The Avengers, DC's Justice  League of America and experiences with artists like Marshall Rogers and Walt Simonson on their 8 issue arc now dubbed "Batman: Strange Apparitions". Englehart wrote THE essential Batman story, so learn more about this exciting history of The Batman!
