He is an inductee of the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in the all-around category. He is one of the co-founders and a board adviser of the Professional Bull Riders (PBR). Sarah is the daughter of Richard & Cheryl Winters, Richard is a well known clinician and horseman.

A rising star in USA Dressage, earned several top results early in the 2021 season with her Hanoverian mare, FRH Davinia La Douce, placing third in the FEI Grand Prix and FEI Grand Prix Special CDI3* at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival and third in the FEI Grand Prix Freestyle.
