Description:

Welcome to Surviving Medicine, the podcast that takes you into the mind of the best and brightest premedical and medical students, residents and physicians discussing where Medical Education is today and the future of healthcare tomorrow.

Today we want to announce the launch of our new website and platform, for not only our podcast but for all of work including social media, blog posts, media links and so much more! If you follow our Instagram account, we will be sending out links to the new website this week! This will be a great resource for not only premeds, but for medical students and residents. The site will be primarily geared towards residents and medical students but it will be invaluable to everyone who is in the healthcare field. If you are a writer, poet, artist, or creative, we would love for you to take part and submit your work!

Today, we are excited to bring you an interview with Madalyn Nguyen, Madalyn is a second-year medical student most known for her love for yoga, her love for travel, and her social media presence under the name @themadmusings.  Madalyn is a Texas native and a UT graduate who has such a deep perspective on human relationships, connecting with patients, and learning to love yourself through both the good times and the bad. In this interview, we dive deep discussing Madalyn’s passion for medicine, why she focused on business during her undergraduate career, why she loves traveling, and how she gets through the tough days of studying finding time to balance self-love, personal well-being, and so much more. Madalyn holds a unique perspective on not only what it means to help others but why it is important to invest in the relationships around you. You all are going to love this one! Before we begin, I do want to note that Madalyn’s beautiful dog was with us during the interview if you notice any interruptions.
