A TSTL Hero...

I thought the H was TSTL in this story. He was duped twice by the same lie by the same woman. He breaks up with the h thinking he slept with the OW when he was drunk and had gotten her pregnant while they were in college. He did not tell her the real reason for the breakup. She later miscarries. He stays with her because he is worried that she is unstable and has threatened to hurt herself. This goes on for five years. He finally grows a pair and decides to break up with her except she tells him she is pregnant once again. So he is pressured into proposing to her. They head back to his hometown and he meets up with the h again. He claims he has never stopped loving her except she does not believe him since he is engaged.

He finds out towards the end that he never slept with her in college and the baby was not his and that she lied about being pregnant the second time. She was trying to get pregnant and was punching holes in the condoms so that he would marry her.

I felt there was too much of the story devoted to the H and OW and that the h was lost in their soap opera. I felt the H should have reached out to the h and told her that he cheated on her after the OW lost her baby and should have tried to repair his relationship with her at that time. I thought he was a jerk to have stayed and lived with the OW for five years and then continued to have sex with her knowing she was not stable. How much could he have loved the h? I really disliked the H because he let the OW lead him by his b***s for five freaking years.

Amazing

As always Kelly doesn't disappoint. Once I started I could not stop reading. Holden and Emi will steal your heart.

Second chance romance at its best

Holden and Emylie were made for each other. Friends since kindergarten then later boyfriend and girlfriend - they knew they would spend the rest of their lives together. But then Holden got a scholarship to USC and their plans started to drift. Things were great between the two of them until one phone called changed everything.

Now years later Holden is back in Texas and Em has no clue who he is. She still sees the old Holden when she looks in his eyes but now he's in love with someone else. Or is he?

As the past comes to light these two need to decide whether the love that had for each other can get then through to a future together or will they end up separated once again, not being able to let go of the lies that surrounded them.
