Tony Succar is a recording artist, songwriter, and producer. In 2019, he won two Latin GRAMMYs — one for “Best Salsa Album” and one for being “Producer of the Year.”

Tony is well-known for a project he did called Unity: The Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson. And he’s gone on to create lots of great music since then, including his GRAMMY-winning album Mas De Mi.

Like many people in the music world, Tony experiences pressure to work all the time. And even though he has experienced a lot of great things in the music industry, he acknowledges there are some tough times too.

One of the many things I appreciated about my conversation with Tony is that he doesn’t pretend like he has everything all figured out. Even though he’s mentally strong, he acknowledges he’s a work in progress. He continues to struggle with being a “workaholic” — something I think a lot of people can relate to these days.

Some of the things Tony shares include how to deal with guilty feelings, how to reach out for help when you need it, and why it's important to surround yourself with positive people.
