A great read, even for the seasoned Meditator

This book is a must read for anyone who is considering embarking upon a path that includes a daily meditation practice. Highly recommended by this reader!

Success story!
Whoa, this was a timely book. For some reason, reading Beth Banningâs description of the religions that use meditation, the different types of meditation and the science behind meditation made me feel motivated to try meditation again. Having just worked all weekend, I think it will really help me feel better. Her common sense attitude combined with examples and scientific results makes it almost a no-brainer to start meditating (no pun intended).
So here's what I did. I searched on YouTube for meditation music, then I used the first technique that Beth recommends in the book (which I have never heard of before, and I'm a psychologist who used to use hypnosis). I wrote a word, in my mind on a piece of paper. Then I felt I was diving with the dolphins in sapphire blue water, looking for my word on the paper. I felt very deeply relaxed, the more I swam around effortlessly.
