Close your eyes, my love,

And allow the tears to come.

Sometimes they just need a chance to escape.

Or maybe just an exhale is needed,

So everything you’ve been holding can reshape.

Sometime you don’t even know how you got here,

Under these dark, dreary skies.

But you looked up one day and noticed,

That the light was gone from your eyes.

It’s okay, sweet one.

We all find ourselves here at times.

We all have felt the weight pull us down.

It’s okay, this season will pass,

Your light will return,

I promise, you won’t drown.
