In ancient Mesopotamia, the Babylonians were among the first peoples in history to decode the secrets of the heavens, and to understand that the planets in the sky provided a sort of atlas to the inner world of the human mind (as Hermes Trismegestus wrote in the famed Emerald Tablet, "As above, so below."). The great Babylonian god Nabu was believed to be in the form of the planet we now call Mercury. He was the god of literacy, reason, speech and knowledge. As powerful as these tools of the mind are, they prove to be a serious impediment to advancing towards self-mastery. These mercurial patterns of mind are so ingrained that it is only through repeated training can we open ourselves to the worlds that lie beyond the planet Nabu (aka Mercury). This guided meditation is a start in that direction. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
