Michael “Mick” Haverty is a railroad man. The Atchison native had “railroading in his blood”, with the trade running in his family as far back as his great grandfather, but he fell in love with the railroad business himself as a child listening to the local railroaders talk shop.

Mick’s passion for railroading is second only to his love of Kansas City. Every year, the Haverty Family Foundation contributes to over 100 charities in the area.
