Microsoft and NASA are working together to develop Earth Copilot, a software tool that uses artificial intelligence and cloud computing to simplify the process of finding and analyzing Earth science data. Earth Copilot will allow users to interact with NASA’s data repository in a conversational way, asking simple questions like “What was the impact of Hurricane Ian on Sanibel Island?” and receiving accurate answers from relevant data sets. The goal is to make Earth science data more accessible to a broader audience.
