Jesus’ ministry in the Galilean region probably lasted about 18 months (autumn AD 27 to spring AD 29). Jesus was initially very well received in the synagogues in Galilee, especially after the people heard the report of those who saw the miracles that He had recently performed in Jerusalem (Jn. 4:45). Jesus showed that His authority to release God’s power transcended both time and distance. No person or situation is ever outside the reach of His power.
