When I first moved to Nashville about 20 years ago, I remember being so intimidated by Missi. Not only was she a top publisher for the biggest songwriters in town, she also listened and found hit songs for Faith and Tim, Keith Urban and alllllll the greats! It was Missi who discovered “Breathe” for Faith; originally she pitched it to Tim, but he said Faith would crush it, we get into all sorts of backstories behind songs. She also found “Humble and Kind” for Tim…. On top of it all, she and her massive producer husband, Byron, are BFFs w Tim and Faith… Byron is Tim’s producer! So you can see why I was nervous around Missi when I first moved to town, she’s a legend! She shares soooo many stories of how she discovered hit songs, what it’s like working w top celebrities and the traits and work ethic that all icons have… Missi is a powerful, intuitive woman who is such an example of how to be a boss, a mother, a wife and a leader.
