On the night of Friday, June 9th, 1995, 6-year-old Morgan Nick went with her mother to a Little League baseball game in Alma, Arkansas. As the game went on and the summer evening grew darker, Morgan asked if she could go play with some other kids near the field. Her mother agreed, watching as Morgan ran off toward the concession stand area to chase fireflies with two friends.
Within minutes, her mother realized Morgan was gone. A search of the ballpark began immediately. Police were called. Officers, volunteers, and family members searched through the night.
Morgan Nick was never seen again.
