Fresh record closing highs for both the S&P500 and NASDAQ on Friday night (26 April) following a stronger-than-expected first quarter gross domestic product (GDP) print that overshadowed some mixed corporate results - Dow up +81-points or +0.31% despite Exxon Mobil Corp falling -2.1% after the energy giant recorded a fall of nearly 50% from a year ago in first quarter profits, hit by poor results in its refining and chemicals segments The broader S&P500 +0.47% (2,939.88), with Ford Motor Co (up +10.74%) the leading index constituent after posting better than expected first quarter earnings and revenue after the closing bell last Thursday (25 April). The NASDAQ +0.34% (to 8,146.40). For the week, the Dow slipped -0.06% while the S&P 500 rose +1.2% and the Nasdaq +1.85%.
