On this week's episode of Motherhood Confessions we chat to a Mum who had a traumatic entrance to Motherhood, with her baby receiving a serious diagnosis 2 days after birth, then emergency life saving surgery a week later. The first few months of her daughter's life were filled with surgeries, appointments, tube feeding and pumping.
We discuss navigating the medical system and the trauma that comes with watching your child receive medical treatments at such a young age. We also discuss the complexities of tube feeding, and ways to support parents who tube feed their babies.
After her experience, this week's Mum has become passionate about sharing her story as a way of making the curveballs motherhood can throw less daunting, lonely and isolating.
