Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend! I’m looking forward to sharing with you some of our community’s questions that have come in over the past few weeks…   Natasha: Hi Dr Cabral! Thanks for being here. I have been dealing with itching on the roof of the mouth (which then triggers the ear) for 10 months now. I thought it may be linked to food & histamines, however, haven't been able to make any consistent correlations w any one food. For background, I believe I've had it intermittently since childhood, but never as severe or consistent until 12/2021. No known illness at that time, but I did get a lot of mosquito bites on a trip in Dec. Ever since I got home, it has been daily-weekly. Labs in March showed elevated EBV markers so maybe they triggered the EBV? I then did a restore phase & itching went away for 5 wks. in May. Got Cvid in June & itching came back in July. It is way worse at night & often wakes me up. Any idea what this may be? Viral?   Amanda: Hi Dr. Stephen Cabral, I love your podcasts and book. You are a wealth of knowledge and have a good heart. I am on day 8 of the 21 day detox. I am doing it for heavy metal detox and to improve PCOS symptoms. I’ve lost 10 pounds. I’m 5’5” and 114 pounds now and people have been commenting that I look to thin What do you suggest I do? Can I add oats, nuts, fruits, more avocados & olive oil to my diet during the detox? I am adding berries, flax seed and chia seeds to my morning smoothies. I don’t want to waste away time. Will the liver detox still be effective? I also don’t have a huge appetite and am very active. I don’t like the feeling of being too full. I stop eating at 6:30pm. Would appreciate your help!   Stefanie: Hi, Dr. Cabral.First things first a BIG THANK YOU for all the free information you relay to your listeners. I have been able to figure out many diseases and repair my body. My question is: Ever since I can remember from childhood I've always had thoughts in my head, not bad ones at all. But I'm always thinking about something, could be music or if someone is talking to me I listen but I' always thinking about randomness. I open my eyes in the morning boom! I have a song in my head, and then its all day. Before going to sleep is a constant issue because I cant fall sleep easily. I don't have any problems focusing when I need to or learning . I've tried parasympathetic bedtime routines but I forget to do it to be honest. What can I do to calm my mind not only at pm time but all day? Thank you   Alicja: Hi Dr. Cabral, What is the best place to store coffee (as bags with coffee beans) I heard you once saying fridge is not good because mold can grow there. How about freezer? I put my coffee to my freezer - if I buy bigger batch. Is this safe or is this a risk for mold too? Is regular pantry shelve better than a freezer? Thanks again for all you do!   Ashley: I have a 20mo old who has a sudden onset of Alopecia Areata at 18mo old. No fam history. It started small on top of her head& has grown to 1 large section(size of a large orange). The podcasts on Alopecia mainly focus on adults. Is there a different testing/protocol you recommend for younger kids? We went dairy and gluten free when she was 3mo old & have slowly been reintroducing them over the last 6mo(she is still nursing). Her cradle cap & some eczema returned so we are going to go back to complete DF/GF. We have a healthy/happy family life. Swim lessons was the only stress she endured at 18mo. Her Dr offered to prescribe low dose naltrexone & steroid creams but I’m weary to give her anything or apply anything foreign. In order, which tests should we get for her? Thank you so much!   Patrick: Hey doc. hope all is well. I’m asking this question for my son he is about to be 17 and has been hitting the gym hard for the past year he’s 5/9 and weighs 150 he’s very toned and in good shape but really wants more mass. What would be the best way for him to get enough protein and do it without having to eat so much bad food or massive amounts of food. He already takes your dns shake everyday but is there any healthy protein shakes or mass builders you would recommend.
