Characters are remembered over plot.  Let's take one such character from the critically acclaimed Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.   Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy.  Mr. Darcy is often cited as one of the best, male romantic leads written, ever.  This young, handsome, rich and honest guy struggles with prejudice and has truckloads of pride.
