Surf Report - New Jersey Shore areas

New Jersey and Delaware Surf Report for 04-05-2025

Listen Later

Surf's up, beach lovers! As we wrap up the 2024 beach forecast season, we've got some gnarly conditions brewing along the Jersey Shore and Delaware coastline.

Grab your boards and sunscreen because today's looking like a classic late September surf day. Expect northeast winds howling around 15 to 20 miles per hour, creating some sweet 2 to 3 foot swells perfect for intermediate riders. But here's the catch - we're sitting at a moderate rip current risk, so surfers and swimmers need to stay sharp.

Water temperatures are dancing between the mid 60s and lower 70s, which means a light wetsuit might be your best friend out there. The UV index is moderate, so don't skimp on that sun protection. Beach weather is mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain, especially down around Atlantic City and Delaware beaches.

Temperature-wise, we're looking at a comfortable range in the upper 60s to lower 70s - basically that perfect autumn beach day where you can comfortably hang without freezing or roasting.

Tide times are locked and loaded: Sandy Hook peaks at 6:25 AM, Barnegat Inlet rises at 6:51 AM, Atlantic City crests at 6:43 AM, Cape May swells at 7:17 AM, and Rehoboth Beach hits high tide at 6:52 AM.

Sunrise and sunset are giving us those classic autumn golden hours - with sunrise between 6:50 and 6:55 AM, and sunset stretching from 6:42 to 6:47 PM.

One last pro tip: This is the final surf zone forecast for 2024, so make these last beach moments count! Stay safe, read the water, and enjoy those epic end-of-season waves.

Catch you on the flip side, wave riders!
