Surf Report - New Jersey Shore areas

New Jersey and Delaware Surf Report for 05-11-2025

Listen Later

Surf's up, beach lovers! As we wrap up the 2024 beach forecast season, we've got a solid report for our Jersey and Delaware coastline.

Grab your board and sunscreen because today's looking like a moderate adventure. We're seeing 2 to 3 foot waves rolling in with a northeast wind hovering around 15 to 20 miles per hour. If you're headed to the water, pay attention - we've got a moderate rip current risk, which means those sneaky underwater currents are ready to play.

Water temperatures are ranging from the lower 60s to lower 70s depending on your beach spot. Sandy Hook's looking at upper 60s with partly sunny skies, while Atlantic City and Ocean City might see a slight chance of rain under mostly cloudy conditions.

Temperature-wise, expect the mercury to climb into the lower 70s for most coastal areas. The UV index is sitting at moderate, so don't forget that sunscreen - you'll want protection without getting totally fried.

Tide watchers, mark your schedules! High tides are rolling in early morning - Cape May at 7:17 AM, Barnegat Inlet at 6:51 AM, and Rehoboth Beach at 6:52 AM. Low tides follow midday.

Sunrise lovers can catch the morning light around 6:50 AM, with sunset painting the sky between 6:42 and 6:47 PM.

Remember, this is our final surf zone forecast for 2024, so make these last beach days count! Stay safe, watch those rip currents, and enjoy the end of summer ocean vibes.

Catch you on the waves!
