Surf Report - New Jersey Shore areas

New Jersey and Delaware Surf Report for 05-27-2025

Listen Later

Surf's up, beach lovers! Get ready for a dynamic day along the Jersey Shore and Delaware coast. Today's looking mostly cloudy with temperatures hovering in the upper 60s, perfect for those early morning beach walks.

Water temperatures are chilling in the upper 50s, so pack that wetsuit if you're thinking about catching waves. Speaking of waves, we're looking at a modest 1 to 2 foot surf today with gentle south winds around 5 to 10 miles per hour. The UV index is cranking high, so sunscreen is your best friend.

Rip current risk is low today, but don't get too comfortable. Those sneaky currents love hanging around jetties and piers, so stay alert and swim smart.

Tomorrow's forecast tells a different story. Expect a more dramatic scene with surf heights jumping to 2 to 4 feet and rip current risk climbing to moderate. Winds will shift to the southeast and east, pushing 10 to 15 miles per hour and potentially hitting 20 in some spots. Temperatures will cool down into the lower 60s, and rain is likely to make an appearance.

Tide times are your planning partners. For Sandy Hook, high tide hits around 8 AM today and 8:54 AM tomorrow. Atlantic City surfers can expect high tide at 8:16 AM today and 9:09 AM Wednesday. Rehoboth Beach riders, mark your 8:24 AM and 9:17 AM tide times.

Sunrise catches early risers around 5:30 AM, with sunset painting the sky around 8:15 PM. Whether you're a hardcore surfer or a beach lounger, stay safe, stay informed, and enjoy the coastal vibes!
