Water and Sanitation Minister Pemmy Majodina says that the construction of phase one of a plant that will enable clean water to be provided to Hammanskraal north of Pretoria will be completed by October. She was briefing the media yesterday (Monday) on her department's plans and priorities - for the 2024/25 financial year. Thirty people died following a Cholera outbreak due to contaminated water in Hammanskraal - last year. On the Vaal sewage spillage Majodina said that the project to upgrade the capacity of the waste water treatment plant in the area is at the procurement phase.
