One of the most anticipated events for our Rangatahi Māori - the Ngā Manu Korero speech competition took place this week - with young Māori covering issues such as reo revitalisation and land rights.

For the first time in its history it's being held completely online because of Covid-19 restrictions.

There are four categories - senior english, te reo Māori, junior english and te reo rangatira.

Māni Dunlop speaks to Ruth Smith who was one of this year's judges.
