Hour 2 - Good Tuesday morning! Here's what Nick Reed covers this hour:
Last week, the Springfield school board voted to unseat the current board vice president, Maryam Mohammadkhani.
Dr. M was accused of interrupting a conversation on racial trauma at the Youth Empowerment Summit on February 23.
Students were pulled out of class & taken to MSU for this event.
During the event, students were asked to close their eyes and raise their hands if they've ever experienced racial trauma.
The director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Burrell Behavior Health, Marquisa “Keke” Rover stated that 'most of students raised their hand.'
Dr. M, who was in the crowd, challenged that by saying "It was only just a part of the room."
Why lie to the students? If they didn't raise their hand, why lie?
