The NCAA's name, image, and likeness guidance effective July 1st sent shockwaves throughout the amateur athletics landscape.  There is still confusion about what is and is not permissible for amateur athletes, particularly for high school athletes, in how they can get paid legally for NIL activities.  

In this episode, Paul and Zain connect with Dr. Karissa Niehoff

Dr. Niehoff is the executive director of the National Federation of State High School State Associations (NFHS).  The NFHS is the organization that writes the rules of competition for most high school sports and activities in the US.  It has almost 8MM athletes under its purview.  

Dr. Niehoff talks about:
