It's been known as the Masters, the ATP World Tour Championships, the ATP World Tour Finals and now the Nitto ATP Finals, but while the title may have changed over the years, one thing that's remained constant is that it's provided the stage for the very best players in the world to battle each other for the ultimate in bragging rights and on the eve of the final staging of the event in London, in it's 50th Anniversary year, Chris Bowers spoke with the man who won the very first year-end title, American Stan Smith.
