So when I set out to make this mix, I had the simple vision of a dancefloor friendly feel good blend of uplifting soulful music. But when I work on a mix I like to let the music lead me, in a way, and I gradually found myself in a darker spookier place. I considered back tracking and making different decisions, but decided no, darkness can't just be avoided, the more important journey is how we build up out of it. I'm really glad I left this as is, and I think I've accidentally painted a pretty good portrait of how I feel about the world right now. I'm an optimist at heart, I truly believe that good will triumph as long as people can envision a better place and work towards it. Share ideas, solve dilemmas, talk about solutions and everything's gonna be alright.
