In 2020 Stephenie Rodriguez attended a work conference in Nigeria where she experienced an unremarkable mosquito bite that seemed typically inconsequential at the time. However, fate had other plans. Just two weeks later, she found herself collapsing on the floor of an airport. A mere 24 hours passed before the digital entrepreneur, globe-trotter and single mother slipped into a coma within the confines of a Boston hospital room, her chances of survival set at a mere 2%.

What Stephenie has navigated, adapted to and overcome amidst these most recent years is nothing short of remarkable. After contracting cerebral malaria and defying the incredibly narrow odds of survival stacked against her, Stephenie has now lost both her feet above the ankle and yet it's fair to say this extraordinary human very much continues to walk through life with a spring in her step, so to speak.
