· Deuteronomy 6:4-5: 4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
· Shema = pay attention, listen closely, focus, respond, take heart, obey
· Hearing Correctly leads to action
· “The Lord our God, the Lord is one.”
· “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.”
· Those gods promised a lot, but they were powerless
· Jesus + Nothing = Everything
