In this first of a three part series, Olha tells her story about life in Ukraine before the Russians invaded her country. It wasn't the first time she had experienced the might of the Russians who had previously annexed Crimea when she lived there with her parents, her husband and her daughter.
In the second part of her story, she tells of the logistics which she and her husband decided on when she left the country with their two children while he stayed to fight for their country.
In the third part , Ohla explains how she is settling in Carlow now with her two children. After being wounded in a land-mine explosion her husband was allowed to leave Ukraine to join his wife in Ireland.
