This month I'm thinking about health and healing, as cliché as it may seem during the month of January to do so, there's some validity to tapping into the energetic lift that the overculture gives it. The trick is not to get pulled into the very toxic elements that pockmark the landscape, easier said than done.
I’ve returned to writing for the Wild Hunt with a monthly column focusing on animism, witchcraft and the intersection of those elements. This month I dig a little into the healing journey and why it’s fundamental to the animist. Getting your house in order is so important when you begin to work with the spirits of place, your ancestors, or just engaging in magick in general. There’s no endpoint to it either, as I’ve discovered all new opportunities to work on myself, grow and heal traumas while experiencing my son’s own growth.
For my substack supporters, I’ve recorded an audio version of my January Wild Hunt column. It will go out first to paid subscribers (thank you!) followed a couple days later to the full list and finally to the wider world. If you’d like to read instead please visit The Wild Hunt.
