I’m struggling tonight. Bad! My 4yo daughter’s first day back to cheer-nastics was this evening. Her father was off work today and our daughter asked him if he was coming to watch her and he said he would try but he never showed. He has 2 boys with his ex wife and she texted him tonight stating the boys first football practice is tomorrow night & wanted to know if he would be there to watch them and he responded “I get off work at 5:30 and I’ll come straight there”. I love that he will make it for the boys practice because that’ll make them so happy but I can’t help to wonder if our daughter will comprehend and question why he couldn’t come watch her. I’m probably hurt the most than she is honestly but I know eventually she will notice that stuff. Has this ever been an issue in anybody else’s family? How did you get over what you’re feeling? Any advice? Am I wrong for feeling this way??
