Osgood Schlatter's Disease is an overuse type injury of the knee that is most common in adolescents and is usually characterized by a gradual onset of anterior knee pain.  This disease is caused by repetitive strain on the tibial tuberosity via the patellar tendon.  It is most common in adolescent athletes with higher demand on the quadriceps with sports that involve running and jumping.
