PawedCast Episode 174: SKC and Minnesota Rewind, Atlanta Preview, OCB, Pride-Utah, and More

We’re back after technical difficulties during recording — that we didn’t even know about until afterward — completely ravaged our show last week, forcing us to just give up on it entirely. It’s a pity, too, because it was the best show we ever did and that was due in large part to guest Jamie Watson. At least we were able to transcribe the audio and publish it as a post, which you can read here.

This week, we had no guest, but at least the audio was usable. We started things with a recap of Orlando City’s win over Sporting Kansas City and draw at Minnesota United. We were unanimous with our Man of the Match picks for both games, which was an odd, but pleasant surprise.

We give you the OCB minute (this week a 2-1 loss to Lansing) and discuss the trials and tribulations of the Orlando Pride’s last two outings — both losses. Marc Skinner got a rude introduction to how poor the officiating in the NWSL can be the last two weeks, but that doesn’t tell the full story in the team losing those games.

We dip into our listener mail, in which Orlando City fans wanted to talk about live versions of this show and also offside calls. And, of course, we gave our key match-ups and predictions for the Lions vs. Atlanta this Friday.
