Over €2 million in EU PEACEPLUS funding has been announced for a new cross-border fire and rescue project benefiting Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.

Minister Marian Harkin says the “TACTICS Project” will boost joint training and cooperation between emergency services north and south of the border.

The initiative will run until 2027, strengthening preparedness and response across the Northwest.

Speaking to Ocean Fm news Minister Harkin says the funding is an investment in safety, partnership and the people who protect our communities.
