As expected, this week’s National Ploughing Championships provided a perfect pitch for hopefuls Connolly, Gavin and Humphreys to field questions and showcase potential presidential prowess. However, this year the event has been held on disputed land, as the family of late farmer Joe Grogan continue their legal battle with his widow over the future of the estate.
