Structure and a schedule are good to keep us moving forward towards goals in our life. But just as important is getting off of a schedule and changing things up. Our brain is much like our pallet. We would never enjoy eating the exact same thing every day and so our brain doesn’t enjoy doing the exact same thing every day. It gets tired of the same old thing day in and day out. It needs to change things up so that it can be most efficient in the daily routine. Today I talk about the things I learned and saw happen as we unplugged from media for the summer and as we went on vacation. Spoiler alert - it did great things for my brain.
