Our 89th interview is with Maezie, a year 12 student studying geography, french and English literature in East Sussex. We catch up during week 12 of lockdown...
In this podcast, listen to Maezie and Teacher Toolkit founder, Ross McGill discuss how Maezie has been getting on with her studies during the lockdown and how she has managed a routine at home. We ask how her school has been in communication with all students during the lockdown and ask her how she has managed her mental health.
Maezie recommends mental health apps such as Headspace and Breath and explains the importance of using gratitude jars to help her family get through the lockdown. We also ask how she has responded to Black Lives Matter and how she deals with fake news and screen time. We end with Maezie’s hope for the future of Britain to tackle all aspects of inequality.
Maezie is a 6th form student of Heathfield Community College, East Sussex. Special thanks to Mrs. Savage for making this happen… Thank you for listening.
