Psalm 3 - "Where is God in Times of Crisis?"

Psalms 3:1-8 NIV

LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me!Many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him.”But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.I call out to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain.I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.Arise, LORD! Deliver me, my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked.From the LORD comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.

Where is God in times of Crisis? Can we really praise God in EVERY season?

Psalm 3 - Backstory from 2 Samuel 13-15.

Psalm 3 gives us six places to look for God in times of crisis.

1. Look for God's protection and defense in times of crisis (vs. 3)

2. Look for God's encouragement in times of criss (vs. 3)

3. Look for God's answered prayers in times of crisis (vs. 4)

4. Look for God's sustaining presence in times of crisis (vs. 5)

5. Look for God's deliverance in times of crisis (vs. 6-8)

6. Look for God's blessing in times of crisis (vs.8)

ACTION STEP: How many notes of encouragement could you write or send this week to the people in your life? 5, 10, 50? We all loved to BE BLESSED, but why not BE A BLESSING this week?
