Psalm 8 - "The Majesty of God"
Psalms 8:1-9 NIV
LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens.Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in placewhat is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

2. God's majesty is seen in how He cares for humans over all He created. (Psalm 8:4)
3. God's majesty is seen in all He gave us in His creation. (Psalm 8:5-8)
Colossians 1:16 NIV
For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.
Romans 1:20 NIV
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
Psalm 8:2 ESV
Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger.
Matthew 10:29-31 NIV
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Go outside this week– take a walk – take time to admire God’s creation and stand in awe of his MAJESTY. Make a point to share with someone your admiration for God’s creation – “Wow! God has created a beautiful world for us to live in”.
Consider how you are doing as a steward over all God has entrusted into your care. Are you treating others as humans “made in the image of God”? Are you using your time, talent, treasure to glorify God and bring beauty to other people’s lives.
“O Lord, our Lord how majestic is your name in all the earth!”
