Building on the acknowledgement of God as Father and adoring Him as our hallowed King, additional aspects of the pattern emerge in the second half of the Lord's Prayer. While we must always ask God to do what only He in His sovereign providence can accomplish, we are also driven to pray for conformity to the resolve and character of Christ — most often the normative means by which God meets our needs and sustains our spirits.
