Uk: У великій сімейній кухні стояла Оксана.
En: In the large family kitchen stood Oksana.

Uk: Вона обережно розкладала інгредієнти на стільниці.
En: She carefully laid out the ingredients on the countertop.

Uk: Осінь принесла з собою натхнення, і Оксана вирішила спекти український гарбузовий пиріг.
En: Autumn brought with it inspiration, and Oksana decided to bake a Ukrainian pumpkin pie.

Uk: Вона хотіла вразити всю родину.
En: She wanted to impress the entire family.

Uk: "Оксано, я тобі допоможу!
En: "Oksano, I'll help you!"

Uk: " – залетіла в кухню з посмішкою Юлія, двоюрідна сестра.
En: – flew into the kitchen with a smile Yuliya, the cousin.

Uk: "Тільки дай знати, що робити.
En: "Just let me know what to do."

Uk: ""Що ж, ти можеш змішати інгредієнти", – відповіла Оксана, намагаючись довірити Юлії нескладне завдання.
En: "Well, you can mix the ingredients," replied Oksana, trying to entrust Yuliya with a simple task.

Uk: Тим часом, у куті стояв Дмитро, молодший брат Оксани.
En: Meanwhile, in the corner stood Dmytro, Oksana's younger brother.

Uk: Його очі блищали, коли він потайки перемішував миски з цукром і сіллю.
En: His eyes sparkled as he secretly mixed up the bowls of sugar and salt.

Uk: Дмитро завжди любив жарти, і сьогодні він придумав новий – обміняти цукор на сіль.
En: Dmytro always loved jokes, and today he came up with a new one – to swap the sugar with salt.

Uk: "Ой, а де цукор?
En: "Oh, where's the sugar?"

Uk: " – запитала Юлія, шукаючи по кухні, але Оксана вже допомогла знайти.
En: asked Yuliya, searching around the kitchen, but Oksana had already helped her find it.

Uk: Через кілька хвилин, коли тісто було готове, запах кориці заповнив кімнату, і кожен почав розуміти, що скоро буде справжнє свято смаку.
En: A few minutes later, when the dough was ready, the smell of cinnamon filled the room, and everyone began to understand that a true celebration of taste was soon to come.

Uk: Та саме коли Оксана відкривала духовку, щоб поставити пиріг, вона побачила Дмитра з пачкою солі, намагаючись знову її підмішати.
En: But just as Oksana was opening the oven to place the pie inside, she saw Dmytro with a packet of salt, trying to mix it in again.

Uk: "Дмитре!
En: "Dmytre!"

Uk: " – вигукнула Оксана.
En: exclaimed Oksana.

Uk: "Що ти робиш?
En: "What are you doing?"

Uk: "Дмитро посміхнувся винно.
En: Dmytro smiled guiltily.

Uk: "Я просто хотів жарт, але не думав, що ти помітиш.
En: "I just wanted a joke, but I didn't think you'd notice."

Uk: "Юлія засміялася.
En: Yuliya laughed.

Uk: "Та ми б, мабуть, усі одразу відчули!
En: "We probably would have noticed right away!"

Uk: "Оксана глибоко вдихнула.
En: Oksana took a deep breath.

Uk: Вона мала вирішити, чи відпустити це, чи знову перевірити всі інгредієнти.
En: She had to decide whether to let it go or check all the ingredients again.

Uk: Але вона вирішила віддатися на долю.
En: But she decided to leave it to fate.

Uk: Нарешті, пиріг потрапив у духовку.
En: Finally, the pie went into the oven.

Uk: Через годину стіл був заповнений святковими стравами.
En: An hour later, the table was filled with festive dishes.
