Paul and Kate travelled to the USA for Kodak’s Pro Lab conference and stayed with PMA‘s (Photo Marketing Association) new CEO Georgia McCabe in their Thousand Islands and Rochester homes.
Georgia McCabe and her husband Scott Brownstein are long term business partners, developing and distributing software for the photographic industry. Both also operate successful consulting businesses.
Scott working for Kodak, developed their PhotoCD system, and left Kodak to implement the digitisation and digital management of many of America’s great photographic collections.
PhotoCD was the stop gap that was needed to supply digital images for rapidly improving software (Photoshop, Pagemaker, etc) being run on early Apple and Windows computer systems, prior to the development of digital cameras.
