Dubbed the "Vampire Killer", Queensland woman Tracey Wigginton served 22 years in prison for the murder of 47-year-old Edward Baldock in 1989. Wigginton, then 24, and three other women lured Baldock into a car and took him to a park on the banks of the Brisbane River, where she stabbed him 27 times. In 1991 she pleaded guilty to the murder and the lurid details of the crime shocked the nation. It was reported Wigginton was obsessed with the Occult and murdered Baldock because she had a "need to feed" on his blood. Journalist and true crime author Megan Norris has followed the case ever since she moved to Australia from England in 1990 and speaks to Australian True Crime about the crime and the very disturbed history of Tracey Wigginton, who was released from jail in 2012.Warning: please be advised this episode contains graphic content.Show notes for Episode 90:Your hosts are Meshel Laurie and Emily WebbWith thanks to Megan Norris and guest co-host Vikki PetraitisIf you liked this episode, you might like Episode 3 - On Father’s Day: Robert FarquharsonLike us on Facebook Follow us on Instagram or TwitterSupport us on PatreonListen on Apple PodcastsListen on Google PodcastsListen on SpotifyIf you have any information on the cases covered by this podcast, please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.Thank you for listening!Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/australiantruecrime.
