Sex trafficking. Genocide. Racism. The history of many holidays is often forgotten and distorted in modern celebrations. The terrible treatment of people of color, particularly Black Americans and indigenous and native peoples, is often not taught in schools or even within families.  And people of color continue to suffer the distorted Eurocentric reinvention of their histories.
